Reconstruction Johannes Church Kornwestheim

The respectful reconstruction opens the church to Johannesstraße and enables a clear presence in the urban space and the formation of a new center. While preserving and redesigning the existing open spaces as a tranquil church garden, the demolition of the community hall creates a new entrance to the church exactly where a large opening to the community hall was originally located. An appropriately proportioned forecourt, slightly elevated to street level, marks the opening of the church to the city with a group of trees and the new visible entrance.
