Sports hall in Stuttgart

The new sports hall for the school centre on ´Heilbronner Straße´ in Stuttgart has been designed to fit in carefully with its surroundings. The hall volume is articulated by the wood-cladded roof structure, the wood-glass façade surrounding the foyer and playgrounds, and a compact base in the ground that accommodates all the functional and secondary rooms. This is complemented by a small three-storey structure for the janitor apartment.
