The organic structure emerges from the uniquely contoured topography of the small hilltop and rises in staggered levels. Alternating parapet and window bands are complemented by lushly greened widely cantilevered roofs. The building emerges from the terrain and blends seamlessly and respectfully into the surrounding landscape; the architecture is purely contextual. Based on an equilateral triangle, each floor of the building is enlarged, transformed and twisted towards one another, so that the hotel, which has a total of 81 rooms as well as a spa and wellness area, grows organically out of the ground.

The tradition of the original hotel Am Sonnenbichl, which evolved from an alpine inn to a mountain inn and then to a hotel is continued but with a view to the future. The holistic hotel concept reflects the themes of sustainability, regionality, and a connection to nature and tradition, and extends even to the catering: The hotel restaurant, which specialises in regional organic produce, is open to both hotel guests and day visitors.
