Foundation stone ceremony of the “Arena du Pays d'Aix”

In March 2015 our competition entry, together with Christophe Gulizzi and Fayat Bâtiment, was chosen over three other competitors; the 20.000 m2 arena is to be completed in 2017.The project includes an ultra-modern main arena with seating for 6000 sports fans or 8500 concert guests, a clubhouse with fitness rooms, an auxiliary sports hall with 2000 seats, as well as catering facilities. It is to become the new home for the famous PAUC handball club of the city. The main hall is highly flexible, enabling various configurations and uses such as sporting events, concerts and plays, as well as exhibitions and expos. The arena is surrounded by a large redesigned landscape with parking and a hub for public transport.
