Groundbreaking in Tübingen
10 years after the inauguration of the district administration center in Wilhelm-Keil-Straße in Tübingen, the district assembly's basic decision to build an extension to the center marked the start for planning in March 2016. After a planning phase of just 15 months construction work began on July 5 with the groundbreaking ceremony. The two existing longish, slightly diverging blocks are going to be extended by a four-story building along Mühlbachaue meadow. With new space of ca. 2,750 square meters, the extension is going to offer up to 120 additional workplaces, a meeting room, and the district fire department’s new direction, in order to respond to the District's considerably increased demand for new staff.
Completion is scheduled for October 2018.
