Construction start for the new Goethe University Frankfurt
On 28 September, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the new Computer Science and Mathematics building. Together with Angela Dorn, Hessian Minister for Science and Art, Michael Boddenberg, Hessian Minister for Finance, and Prof. Enrico Schleiff, President of Goethe University, project manager Jörg Müller broke ground for the new university building.
The new building will allow Goethe University to bring together the institutes for Computer Science and Mathematics on the Riedberg campus, whereas both are currently located on the Bockenheim campus. The building will enable the exchange of knowledge between the two institutes and at the same time form an important urban building block for the further upgrading and sustainable development of the entire Riedberg campus.
