Ready to send

The latest and eighth stamp in the popular special-issue stamp series depicts the Munich U-Bahn station "Westfriedhof". The station, designed by Auer Weber, was built from September 1993 to July 1996 in the north-west of the city and opened on 23 May 1998. According to Deutsche Post, it is: "one of the most attractive underground stations in Munich in terms of design and leaves a lasting impression on many passengers. Many tourists as well as many locals and newcomers consider it the most beautiful station in the entire subway network."

The first stamp in the "U-Bahn Stations" special-issue stamp series was issued in April 2020.
