The new buildings of the sport centre stand alone as transparent cubes in the park landscape of Belair. The indoor swimming hall and the sports hall protrude out of a connecting plinth which serves as access to both parts of the building and whose roof functions as a generous roof terrace. Whereas the roof of the indoor swimming pool is composed of a wood lattice construction, slender steel beams span above the sports hall. The glazed building envelope which its fixed shading made of aluminum louvers offers the athletes a constant reference to the site and the surrounding landscape.
