Bildungscampus – Cooperative State University BW

This institute building forms the northern edge of the central campus square and houses the premises of the DHBW's Center for Advanced Studies in addition to a ground-floor cafeteria with outdoor seating. With its facade of clinker bricks in different shades of beige and grey and dark grey joints, as well as the building's L-shaped form in longitudinal section, its appearance corresponds to that of Building No. 12 of Heilbronn University, which is located opposite. Together, they mark the entrance to the Bildungscampus Nord on the main axis leading north. The clinker facade is continued in parts of the interior and determines the image of the interior with dark terrazzo floors and lightly-glazed wood acoustic walls. The lecture halls and seminar rooms are located around a brightly-lit central atrium on the three lower floors, while the administrative and teaching rooms are located on the three floors of the superstructure.
