Extension of District Building Tübingen
Extension of District Building Tübingen
The District Administration Center in Tübingen, built in 2006 and consisting of two longish, somewhat diverging building blocks, is complemented by a four-story building along Mühlbachaue meadow. The dominant horizontal structure of the existing administration center’s façade is taken up whereas the windows in the extension are given a certain depth of space, endowing the building with a rhythm of its own. The extension offers 130 more workplaces as well as a new conference hall, in order to meet the considerably increased demand for new staff.
