Institute at the Goethe University Frankfurt
Institute of Computer Science and Mathematics
The Institute's four-storey new building is accessed in correlation to the central lecture hall and library building of the university campus, the Otto Stern Centre, via a common forecourt oriented towards Riedbergstrasse and the subway stop. The interior is characterised by an artery running from one access point to the other, to which two foyers with central vertical staircases and a total of four courtyards, which allow the best possible lighting in the depths of the space, are connected. The layout of the Institute offers a high degree of flexibility, which on the one hand allows for different team sizes for cooperation and communication, and on the other also creates space for concentrated work as well as for retreat and regeneration in individual areas.
