Redevelopment Josef-Effner-Gymnasium Dachau

The Josef-Effner secondary school is north of the Dachau city centre, near the Amper river. It was built in 1974 by Munich-based architecture office Behnisch+Partner. Recently, increasing leakage in the roof structure has become apparent. Therefore, the county of Dachau has decided to redevelop the entire building envelope, as well as refurbishment inside the building. The goal is to make the school usable again, while simultaneously improving the energy usage. The architecture of the original is to remain unchanged.
