The former Victoria insurance building is situated on an important connection from Königstrasse to Hospitalviertel. Its calm appearance – which will still be there after the overhaul – makes it a rememberable spot in the cityscape. The new, floor-to-ceiling glazing and the natural ventilation mechanism inside the reinterpreted half-columns in the façade will considerably improve the functional quality of the building. The retail units on street level will be restructured, as well as the entrance area toward Theodor-Heuss-Strasse. An up-to-date office location in the city center is being developed further.
