Technical School Friedberg

Surrounded by a heterogeneous city layout, the new clearly defined school building characterises the area. The North-South oriented upper floor classrooms appear to be floating above a recessed and glazed ground floor. Envelopment by emergency balconies with floor-high, vertical and adjustable sun-protection provides the main building with a compact and uniform secondary façade. To the East, a floor-high building block with workshops connects to the main building and defines the courtyard and the Northern limit of the school grounds.
