Bordeaux office ensemble

The building, which houses not only offices but also apartments and a restaurant, has been built in the new Amédée-Saint-Germain district near Saint-Jean train station on the edge of Bordeaux's Old Town. The shape, character and materials have all been chosen with the intention of creating an architecturally striking object and at the same time blending harmoniously into the “Ville de Pierre” (Stone City) neighbourhood. The new urban block is composed of horizontal bands, grouped into three stories by means of vertical pilasters and slide into one another. An inner courtyard opens up through the resulting gate.
